The underground Metro of Naples is opened from 6 a.m. till 10 p.m. You can find the metro tickets in any cigarette shop (Tabaccheria) or Newsagent, you can also buy them at the automatic machine near the entrance of a metro station. The ticket price is €1 for a single trip and €1.50 for a multiple journey ticket valid for 90 minutes. To ask for a ticket you should say ‘Un biglietto, per favore’ for one ticket and ‘Due biglietti , per favore’ for two tickets.
Ones arrived to Stazione Centrale (the main Train Station) of Naples follow the signs ‘METRO LINEA 1’ for you to get to the maritime ports of Naples. The signs METRO LINEA 1 will bring you to the Garibaldi metro station. You will see six big escalators at the entrance of Garibaldi train station so you will know you go the right way. Then you have to arrive to ‘Municipio’ that is a few stops from Garibaldi.
One arrived to the Municipio metro station follow the ‘Exit’ signs to get to -1 floor where ticket offices are and then find the sign ‘Porto’ leading to the stairs. The Municipio square is still under construction so it could seem confusing to find it once you are outside, but if you look at the Castle (Castel Nuovo), the Beverello maritime port is just behind it . So just go down the street towards the sea, cross the road and you will find it in front of you. For the ticket offices look for the sign ‘Biglietteria’ under the big screen with the hydrofoils time schedule.
If you need to take a ferry there is a shuttle leaving from the bus stop under the main building of the Beverello Port, situated at the end of the car parking and usually surrounded by cruise liners.
